The municipality of Poções is located in a transition area between the Caatinga and the Atlantic Rain Forest, presenting a vegetation restricted to this region in the State of Bahia, the Deciduous Montane Seasonal Forest or Liana Forest. Thus, this study aimed to present the survey of orchids in a fragment of Liana Forest, in the district of Morrinhos, Poções, Bahia. It was conducted through monthly field excursions, carried out between August 2019 and May 2022. Sixty species distributed in 30 genera were collected. The genera with the highest number of species were Gomesa (8 spp.), Epidendrum (7 spp.), and Acianthera (6 spp.). Dryadella crenulata is hereby recorded for the first time for the Northeast region, and 16 species are new records for the Southwest region of the State: Acianthera saundersiana, Anathallis microphyta, Bifrenaria aureofulva, Cattleya warneri, Cyrtopodium saintlegerianum, Epidendrum armeniacum, Epidendrum filicaule, Epidendrum forcipatoides, Gomesa uniflora, Gomesa varicosa, Isabelia violacea, Leptotes pohlitinocoi, Maxillaria humilis, Octomeria grandiflora, and Paradisanthus bahiensis. Among the species found in Morrinhos, three are endemic to the state of Bahia (Encyclia jeneschiana, Leptotes pohlitinocoi, and Pabstiella brasilica), and eight are threatened with extinction: Cattleya amethystoglossa (NT), C. velutina (VU), C. warneri (VU), Grandiphyllum hians (VU), Pabstiella castellensis (CR), Rauhiella silvana (EN), Saundersia mirabilis (EN), and Zygostates kuhlmannii (EN). The results contribute to the knowledge of the flora of the state of Bahia and Brazil, providing important data to support conservation actions in the municipality.
