Teaching resources are auxiliary tools in teaching practice, stimulating learning and promoting the overcoming of phenomena such as botanical imperception. The objective of this work was to report the implementation of four types of collections on a campus of the Sergipe Federal Institute: herbarium, teaching garden, plant histology slides and teaching models. Research was carried out in specialized literature; selection of plants for the teaching garden and histology slides; and selection of plant structures for didactic models. To create the herbarium, samples were collected and exsiccates were assembled in partnership with another Federal institution. The herbarium has 56 exsiccates; the teaching garden has 26 specimens of the regional flora; the microscopic slides collection has 50 units; and the model collection has six plant structures. It is hoped that the use of these collections contributes to learning consistent with the formation of citizens aware of their role in nature.
