The Parque Botânico do Ecomuseu Ilha Grande (PaB) was established in 2015 and shows, through plants, aspects of the history of man in Ilha Grande and the botanical history of the Rio de Janeiro State University. PaB contributes to the knowledge and divulgation of native plants of Ilha Grande and the conservation, mainly, of those threatened with extinction. In this sense, PaB conducts research, teaching and extension activities, with emphasis on the areas of floristics, environmental education, ecotourism and environmental services, in a series of actions and projects described in this article.
